Vivian:
I believe the photos above are of the intake station that is under construction...which is in Franklin County. If you drive north on US 127, you can see the new water treatment plant under construction just over the county line in Owen County. Tabo: Yes, according to published reports from the company, they are supposed to leave it "as good or better than they found it." Operative word: supposed. |

I don't think I'm doing the Blackcat, Need. I'm in the middle of training for something big and the race doesn't fit in my training schedule. It's a shame, too. I had my best time of last year one that course (if you don't count the 5K I ran in Lexington that turned out to be closer to 3.8K or the one where my timing chip didn't work).

Regrettably, I don't have any river charts left. The old ones melted.

Isn't Kentucky American Water supposed to restore the landscape when they get done?

20 Millers at a sitting?? C'mon Ranger, we got one more race to go. Then it's eatin' season!
As I understand it, Franklin County gets a little money, but not enough to cover the carnage wrought on Franklin county. That piece of shirt waterline is a mere 60 feet from my house. |

That long, white thing going down the hill looks like a heckuva slip and slide.
Also, 20 Miller Genuine Drafts a day sounds like a plan. I prefer Kentucky Ale, but I guess I take what I get. LOL Yeah... Seriously, shouldn't the city of Lexington be paying our taxes or something for this? |
