I wonder if the squirrel is offended because I called it a rodent with a bushy tail? If so, I profoundly apologize.

I also took a pass on the rabbit, but I did enjoy the biscuits and gravy.

Hey Ema you should of tried it, nothing like fried squirrel with homemade biscuits and gravy. Well maybe one thing and that's fried rabbit

You have to kill a lot of those little devils to have much meat. My brothers (we grew up in the country in the 50s and 60s) used to go squirrel hunting. My mom would fry them for supper. I thought it was disgusting and never ate them. I think that if they didn't have bushy tails, people would see them a lot differently - like the rodent they are.

The little devils aren't shy. They come up on my balcony as though they've been invited.
