Katherine Evans Underwood, 72, wife of 58 years to Dr. Kenneth L. Underwood, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at her residence. Born in London, KY she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elmer Evans and Lula Coffey and Daryl Coffey.
She was a member of Buck Run Baptist Church, Frankfort.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Lawrence, Frankfort, and Kimberly Brooks, Nicholasville, one son, Keith Underwood, Versailles, one sister Darlene Coffey Sparks, two brothers, Dwayne Coffey and David Coffey, eight grandchildren: John Lawrence, Andy Lawrence, Missy Lawrence Jones, Hanna Lawrence, Marla Brooks, Lee J. Brooks, Michael Underwood, Kari Underwood, and nine great-grandchildren: Amanda, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Joshua, Kenedi and Grayson Lawrence, Evan and Alexander Jones and Morgan Lee Morris.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2008, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, Versailles, KY. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2008 at Buck Run Baptist Church, Frankfort, KY, with Dr. Hershael York officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, KY. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Online Guestbook at Blackburnandward.com.
