Charles Downey Jr. of Frankfort, born August 24, 1946 went to heaven to be with God on May 1, 2008. He was a father, brother, son and friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ella Juanita Casto Downey, his father, Charles Downey Sr. and his sister, Francis Louise Downey.
He is survived by his sister Alma Lorraine (Jack) Lancaster, Frankfort, his brother, Michael Edward Downey, Frankfort, step-mother, Bette Downey, Frankfort; nieces, Tammy Sandifer (Richard), Frankfort, Lisa Spain, Georgia, Amy (Paul) Sepulveda, Frankfort, and Teresa McClease, Shelbyville; nephews, Greg Lancaster, Florida, Michael Edward Downey Jr., Louisville; great nieces, Amanda Sandifer, Ella Juanita Andrade, and Amber McClease; great nephews, James Sandifer, Gerren Spain, Jacob Hood, Kenton Lancaster and Bradley McClease.
Visitation will be at Clark Funeral Home-Versailles Road, Frankfort, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008 and service is 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008. Inquiries for memorial donations may be directed to the family. www.clarkfuneralchapels.com
