Harold Yeager

Services for Harold Stenson “Sten” Yeager, 66, of Frankfort, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009. Rev. Vernon Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with military honors being observed at the graveside. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at his residence following an illness.

A native of Port Clinton, Ohio, he was born, July 2, 1942, and was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a Bronze Star recipient. Mr. Yeager retired as a Frankfort firefighter with 28 years of service. He is a member of Graefenburg Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Todd J. Yeager, Louisville; his daughter, Carla Y. (Mark) Moats, Henderson; his brother, John Yeager, Louisville; his sisters, Barbara (Leonard) Hickman, LaGrange, and Carole (John) Adams, Tenn.; and a grandson, Andrew Moats.
He was the son of the late Carl and Margaret Penn Yeager.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Mr. Yeager to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1538, Frankfort, KY 40602 or W.A.R.M. (Women’s Addiction Recovery Manor), 56 McKinley St., Henderson, KY 42420.
