Harold F. Whisman, 82, died Monday, October 26, 2009. He was born to the late Courtney and Bertha Palmer Whisman in Gunn, Kentucky on March 18, 1927.
He served with the United States Army in WWII and was a retired employee of National Distillery. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Grimes Whisman of Frankfort; two sons, Rodney A. (Barbara) Whisman of Frankfort, and Billy G. (Elsie) Whisman of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and one brother, Gene Whisman of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Genevieve Whisman, his sister, Mildred Marie Courtney, and three brothers, Paul, Cecil, and Glyn Whisman.
Funeral service is 7 pm Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Clark Funeral Home-Versailles Road with Reverend Jerry Parrott officiating.
Honorary casketbearers are his grandchildren.
Visitation is 5-7 pm Tuesday.
