Anna “Lucille” Sloop Searcy, 90, widow of Jack Tucker Searcy, died Tues., Feb. 2, 2010. Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Claude Vester and Grace Muncy Sloop. A former crossing guard with Fayette County Schools, she was a member of Broadway Baptist Church as well a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, Henry Clay Chapter. She is survived by her children, Pat Whitley, Frankfort, Jack Tucker (Glenna) Searcy Jr., Harrodsburg and Michael Eugene Searcy, Lexington; as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Services will be 1:30 PM Fri. at Milward-Southland. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Jeffrey Searcy, John Searcy, Chris Searcy, Jack T. Searcy III, J.W. Blackburn II and Robert Tomes. Honorary bearers will be Barbara Blackburn, Carol Mitchell and Janice Tomes. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thurs. with an Eastern Star service. www.milwardfuneral.com
