A Frankfort teenager is being held on $25,100 bond after he allegedly robbed the Cliffside Restaurant on Old Lawrenceburg Road.
Frankfort Police responded to a reported robbery in progress at 9:13 p.m. Friday at the restaurant. Maj. Fred Deaton said witnesses observed Kyle Wesley Sparks, 19, fleeing the scene on foot.
Officers established a perimeter and used K-9 units to search the area. Deaton said Sparks was located shortly thereafter in a nearby residence and arrested on charges of first-degree robbery and disorderly conduct.
"It was a great job by the canine unit," Deaton said.
Police recovered an undetermined amount of cash. According to witnesses, Sparks implied he had a weapon, but they never saw one and police did not recover any weapons.
Sparks is being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail on $25,100 full cash bond.
