Despite the rain, about 100 supporters met Chelsea Clinton at the local campaign office of her mother, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, a Democratic presidential candidate.
Chelsea spoke for about 3 minutes and said she was excited to see so many people who are passionate about supporting Hillary.
"As young woman and as a Democrat I know my mom is the strongest and most progressive candidate," she said.
Afterwards, she stayed for about 20 minutes to shake hands and pose for photos with supporters.
Several local Democratic leaders were on hand, including Sen. Julian Carroll, D-Frankfort; Rep. Carl Rollins, D-Midway; developer Mike Davenport and Franklin County Magistrate Don Sturgeon.
