Cardwell-Sparrow
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Gardner and Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cardwell announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Lindsay Cardwell, to Cory C. Sparrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sparrow.
Ms. Cardwell is a graduate of Franklin County High School and of Georgetown College, where she received a degree in communications. She is employed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Mr. Sparrow is a graduate of Anderson County High School and of the University of Kentucky, where he received a degree in agriculture economics. He is employed by Southern States, Inc.
The wedding will be Nov. 8, 5:30 p.m., at North Fork Baptist Church.
Forbes-Feistritzer
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Forbes announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jacquelyn Brianna Forbes, to Paul Jay Feistritzer, son of Mrs. Linda Feistritzer and the late Paul Stuart "Big Daddy" Feistritzer.
Ms. Forbes is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and the University of Kentucky, where she received a professional degree in landscape architecture. She is employed by Wilson Nurseries.
Mr. Feistritzer is a graduate of Boyle County High School and the University of Kentucky, where he received a professional degree in landscape architecture. He is self-employed.
The wedding will be Dec. 13, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 310 Wapping St.
A closed wedding will be observed.
Ramsey-Abney
Jennifer Kay Ramsey, daughter of Jim and Rosetta Ramsey of Frankfort, and Stephen Mitchell Abney, son of Wayne and Louise Abney of Richmond, were married Aug. 30, 2008, 5:45 p.m., at Gratz Park, Lexington. Lynn Buckles, of Crossroads Christian Church in Lexington, performed the ceremony.
Nuptial music was provided by three members of the Niles Quartet.
Rebecca Ramsey, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaid was Alisha Heinze Abner.
Jeff Thompson was best man, and the usher was Kevin Geralds.
A reception at the Thoroughbred Center in Lexington followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the Abneys are making their home in Lexington.
Mrs. Abney is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she received a degree in communications. She is employed by IMG Associations.
Mr. Abney is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a degree in computer information systems. He is employed by AP-ID, a computer software company.
