WELL WE HAVE A NEW FLYBOY

October 19, 2009

It was not that long ago the main stream media was awash with Republican Governor Ernie Fletcher flying all over the state, during his
re- election attempt. . . giving out huge cardboard checks. All at the expense of TAXPAYERS. peuuuu.

TELL ME WHAT IS THIS.?

Gov. Steve Beshear announced in Lexington on Monday morning that he is naming a task force to develop plans for future educational development in the state, building on the success begun with the Kentucky Education Reform Act almost 20 years ago "This effort seeks to build off the progress of the last 20 years in order to lay the foundation for the 20 years ahead," the governor said. "Today, I'm calling for our state and our people to recommit ourselves to ensuring the future of our children."

I wonder does this Governor's press secretary think the people of Kentucky are "dumb down" so bad that they can not see a perceived stealth act to allow the Governor staff, airplane and taxpayer money to campaign for re-election.

And pray tell how is meeting with people going to solve the problem? IT IS NOT.

The problem of education, which Kentucky has been trying to improve since formal educating began, is accountability, better pay for better teachers on the front line that do the teaching everyday. And, a significant reduction in the total AMINISTRATIVE COST of THE DEPARMENT OF EDUCATION.
