Just another dropped puppy....

November 8, 2009

This Sunday morning I was at East Erankfort Park and noticed some person (and I use that word loosely) had tied a puppy to the one of the picnic tables near the Dog Park and left it....with a bag of puppy chow and a blanket.

The puppy was, of course, adorable, although it was trembling because it was scared and alone and relished the fact that someone had taken the time to provide it some company.

I didn't know what to do - I have a houseful of dogs so there's no room here - so I left it, hoping that this beautiful day would lend itself to many people coming to the Park and that someone has room in their heart (and their home) for a lost little soul.

To whomever tied that puppy to the picnic table and left it, you could have taken to the shelter and because it's a puppy it might have a chance to find a home much better than yours. I doubt that doing the right thing if you can't keep a dog ever occurred to you. There's a special place in Hell for someone who did what you did..

He's still sitting up there right now. I intend on going back this afternoon and making sure he doesn't spend this night the way he spent the last.

Please someone.......
