Concerning Congressman Charles Rangels alleged ethical lapses, the Congressional Black Caucus issued this warning to legislators with a large African-American constituency:

"The 42-member Congressional Black Caucus has warned Democrats against a rush to judgment, and any lawmaker with a significant African-American constituency must consider whether it's worth asking Rangel to quit."
Now we don't have a white congressional caucus but what if we did and they issued a warning like that? It would read like this:
"The 300-member Congressional White Caucus has warned Democrats against a rush to judgment, and any lawmaker with a significant White constituency must consider whether it's worth asking Smith to quit."
There would be protests, cries of racism, maybe even riots.
Comments like those made by the CBC are what fuels racism and it will never end with those remarks along with Rev. Jackson and Sharpton always stirring the pot, it never will
