For those who read the AP article, Wildlife officers take bite out of Ky. snake trade. In one version of this article I read, it mentioned the Coots family of Middlesboro. For anyone interested in further reading on the subject and Coots family I suggest: The Serpent Handlers:Three Families and their Faith. It gives a gives a great insight as to the churches in Kentucky where the handling of serpents is a religious rite.
