Police agencies around here are getting grants from the Federal Government. The more people they pull over and charge with something, the more money they get. Cops here work the assemply line to keep the jails full to generate money for the city...in the process ruining many lives for minor offenses.
Cops here are looking for any reason at all to pull anyone over. They are very serious about busting as many people as possible for whatever reason right now.
Don't touch the center line or weave when they get on your tail and follow you around. This is the most common excuse they use when pulling someone over.
Don't speed, don't leave ANY establishment that serves alcohol around closing time because the coppers are circling the blocks then like nazis huntign for jews and pull ANYONE over just for you leavign there, whether you had a drink or not. They WILL make up some type of lame excuse.
So please be very very careful!...even whn you leave the car and walk home to be safe, they will look for a reason to bust you with a PI charge.

I had a city copper pull in behind me & hit his lights while I was at market scratching a lottery ticket.
He called for backup & shined his spotlights on me till his crony arrived & then walked up to my car with his hand on his gun, asking what was I doing.
When I told him I was scratching a lottery ticket, he asked for my licence. Then he told me that I was not the person on the licence. I told him he was full of sh!t if he could not tell it was me.
I heard him run it from his car & when he came back, he started with the lights in the eye crap & asking a million questions. I was let go but needless to say, him and his backup were nothing but punks in uniforms.
cristy29 , I remember that & yes they were the ones that were wrong.
Just when you & your kids needed their husband & daddy the most, our FINEST would not allow it.
I have no respect whatsoever for most of our city police.

Check out the statistics on how many people on the road after 11 PM are under the influence. I'd rather they pull me over and let me go than just ignore the people that are drinking and driving. Better a cop's blue lights behind me than oncoming headlights of some drunk in my lane. You should check out a Victim's Impact Panel if they have them here, or DEP (DUI Education Program)as required in WA state. It's simple, don't drink and drive.

Yes that was us. We never got an apology from the FPD and none of the officers received any discipline for their actions.

Well i agree that most of the police in Frankfort do their jobs well... but it is the bad ones that spoil the whole bunch in my opinion. My husband and i are law abiding citizens we have five children and pretty much keep to ourselves. Three years ago we had a house fire and While our home was burning to the ground the good old Frankfort police came and arrested my husband! He had done NOTHING wrong but they thought that he was someone else they kept calling him by a name other than his when we said he was not that person they said ok.. and still called him that name my kids where standing their crying not understanding what was going on. When I asked this cop his supervises name he told me to get out of his face before he took me to jail, he also told my aunt the same thing. We showed the police his ID they accused us of having a fake ID they told the neighbors that he was dealing in stolen guns and counterfeit money. It was a devastating experience. After a night in jail they finally admitted he was the wrong PERSON!!
But not before they found a 4 year old traffic fine he had not paid and and made him pay that to get out of jail!!
I think I remember that.... Did you live over in Bellepoint? Yeah I remember hearing and thinking yeah that's messed up!
