July 4th Fireworks Question

I understand that the July 4th fireworks are going to be at Capital View Park again this year. My husband won't attend there because he says there is only one small entrance in and out, and if there was an emergency we wouldn't be able to get out, and, emergency vehicles couldn't get to us. Plus, there is not enough parking.

So, I was wondering how others felt. Would you prefer that the fireworks be at Capital View Park, Capital Plaza, over the Capital building, or at some other location? Why?

Thanks!
Tabo

I liked it at the Capital Plaza. They have fireworks for the expo, why not 4th of July? It was always fine before.

I think they should be on the river. But, you can see them from anywhere.

You can see them from all over Frankfort. I never attempt to go to Capital View Park. I watch from a fabulous perch off of East Main. The overlook on Louisville Hill would also be great. Tanglewood, Library and Archives, the Capital Annex or Capital Grounds, there are so many places to watch from... Many with large parking areas.

"Foxie shoots eight-inch shells and we were running into some problems down by River Park. It seems there are regulations regarding what size fireworks, how loud they go "boom' and such can be used near residential areas. Foxie's fireworks go about 300 feet into the air.

"So we moved the show to Capitol View and all's good."
