Apparently the State-Journal wants everyone to use the Herald Leader website instead of the S-J site. Here's the public service announcement from Herald Leader that S-J decided to lock for some reason...
Golden alert issued for Frankfort man Herald-Leader staff report
FRANKFORT " A Golden Alert has been issued for a 75-year-old Frankfort man last seen at his home on Ky. 151 on Friday night.
Billy Terhune, who suffers from dementia, might be in a Chevrolet Astro van with Kentucky license plate 855-AGN.
He's white, has white hair and blue eyes and is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Franklin County sheriff's office at (502) 875-8550.

I am a Frankfort native but moved away almost 15 years ago. I have enjoyed browsing the site because I still know people in the area and have some family there. This new practice of locking articles is ridiculous. There isn't anything you can't get from Kentucky.com or the Google "local news" function. There are too many high quality newpapers online that are free to pay for the State Journal's mediocre website.

It is pathetic that they lock these kind of Public Service Announcements, if it was one of their family members they'd want as many people to know to help out, if possible. I know they are in the business of making money, but when it comes to life or death issues, they really need to reevaluate their stance. I would never run out and buy a SJ to find out anything, the majority of their news is on the AP and can be found elsewhere on the web for no cost.

I guess the SJ must have watched the Lexington news to get their limited content about Mr. Peavler. I was on the river all weekend and there were no SJ reporters. Only Lexington news crews.

Good job.
They are still searching for the man that suposedly drowned. I can see the dock where he disappeared from from home. They were still searching at lunch today (monday) . Strength to the family.
Thank goodness we do not have to rely on the SJ for real news. At 10 AM this morning their newest article was FOURTEEN hours old.
I tried to post this same comment under citizen news by itself...but gosh..they did not post it.

Now who's the man missing in the river? Tell ya what; someone who subscribes come here and recap the locked articles, and we'll pay you, instead!

Yep - I'm about to un-bookmark SJ. Can't read most of the articles anymore...
I moved 12 years ago and it's been nice to keep up with what's going on through the website. No more.

Truly pathetic; it's so embarrassing to live here!
Thanks for posting both the original information and the welcome update.

I agree. Just in case they lock the "GOOD NEWS". Here you go.
A Golden Alert has been lifted for a 75-year-old man who was missing for more than 48 hours.
Frankfort Police said Billy Terhune was found safe in Louisville. He had been missing from his Franklin County home since late Friday night.
