Frankfort doesn't have many places to celebrate a graduation, wedding reception or have a family reunion. Can anyone suggest any locations that rent their building/establishment so that a family reunion or other event can be celebrated? If I had a choice, (I would select the FPB Clubhouse, but they are always filled up and it's difficult to establish a date with them.) A place where children can play and the adults enjoy their time in fellowship.

Sorry for being so picky, but we are also trying to plan a place for the children to play. I know we're not going to find the "perfect" place, but we have to think of the kids and elderly in the family. I have completed 2 pages of locations I am going to call about and see what they charge. I am sure that some of them will probably charge an outrageous price, but we will do the best we can.

We have had an event at Candleberry Tearoom... great place for up to about 50 people.

Yes, I discovered that about Liberty Hall this past week. See, what we are thinking about is our elderly during the summer for they cannot bear the heat. That's one of the reasons we are seeking something that has a/c.

Liberty Hall Historic Site rents the lawn and gardens for weddings and other outdoor events. Restrooms are available and the kitchen at the Orlando Brown House is available for caterers to use, but there are no other indoor facilities available.

Who owned the Frankfort Reception Hall and where was its location? I know it doesn't exist now.

I agree 100%, there is also the place at Lakeview Park. I had hoped the Frankfort Reception Hall would work out, but saw a for sale sign there. It wasn't great for kids and the parking wasn't the best, but it was a good idea.

Also, maybe last but not the cheapest. Capital Plaza Hotel, but like Tamed-Shrew said, make sure that you can bring your own food without having to use their caterer. Creeker is on top of the game here, he/she mentioned many good places in town too.
