Does anyone know of an AAU team for 11 year old girls? My daughter has been playing Upward since 1st grade. And while, I like the Upward program, I would really like to see her playing real basketball. Please reply to this post with any information.

Here it is:

ELKHORN

Girls basketball team looking for players

Any fifth-grade female student at an east side elementary school who is interested in playing basketball for the Elkhorn Middle School sixth-grade girls basketball team should contact Joey Thacker at 330-7323 or John Caudill at (859) 585-1087.

If she's 11, my guess is she's in middle school. Why not play for the school team? And if she's only in 5th grade and lives on the east side, Elkhorn is looking for 5th graders to play for their sixth grade team. If she is unable to make the middle school team, she would probably be unable to play AAU, being that it is highly competitive. Oh, and usually is played in the summer!
