Ok - I get that the paper does not give away free papers, etc. However, I just bought a paper at the newstand, read an article and wanted to see what others were commenting on. Since I paid for the paper I think I should be able to do that. I don't really want to fool with a subscription, even though I buy the paper nearly everyday.
I know that apparently some people were using the on-line version to avoid purchasing the paper at all, but there should be some kind of compromise available.

Jerry, I wasn't directing the question to you. But since I have reason to believe someone at the SJ reads these posts, I was hoping someone there would act on this.

If the online subscription start doesn't work, then why is it on here!?! Enough people have mentioned problems with it; one would think the SJ would want to fix it or at least give accurate info as to how to start an online subscription.

Back to the original subject of this post - many folks want to get the online version of the papers. However, the SJ fails to respond to requests! So much for sales - I went back to try to request an online subscription again, and the header says I already have a request in - go figure.
I too do not want to deal with a subscription to the paper version - would prefer online. But its not that big of a deal - I can go online and read the Lexington and Louisville papers.

That's just a drop in the bucket. "Will LIKELY be deported"? And only five posts on this. Where's the outrage? (Oh, yeah. It's a locked article.)
We sure love our Mexican restaurants.

Two Frankfort men born in Honduras have been indicted after allegedly receiving hydrocodone from their home country and selling it.
Omiro Aguilar, 32, and Miguel Oseguera, 23, both of 551 Williamsburg Road, were indicted on a second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance charge. Aguilar was also indicted on a second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument charge.
According to Commonwealth's Attorney Larry Cleveland, the men received 990 hydrocodone pills by mail from Honduras.
"Mr. Aguilar said he was getting the pills from Honduras because he didn't have health insurance to get them in this country," Cleveland said.
Aguilar and Oseguera admitted to using some of the pills and selling the rest to make some extra money, Cleveland said.
U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement issued warrants for the men, and they will likely be deported, Cleveland said. Aguilar had a forged passport, according to the indictment.
Both were released to ICE, according to jail officials
