I don't know you and you don't know me and you may not even see, this, but I wanted to thank the individual that returned my wallet at The Monkey tonight. Just when you get cynical in this crazy world, someone does the right thing.
As a single, unemployed momma, the money in the wallet is all my son and I have to live ou on for the next few weeks and we would have been in a real pickle if it hadn't been returned.
I thank you for your kindness.

Kudos to Jerry also, for doing the right thing and apologizing for his quick assumption and mistake and making it right. You don't see that kind of gesture much anymore. This posting and comments shows that Honesty and Integrity are still alive.

I am happy for you newshound. Things like that are getting more rare now a days. That is the kind of morality I am trying to pass to my kids on the right things to do.
Good job to the one who did the right thing. I hope you are blessed and don't ever loose that honesty.

Your right, I thru it out there and stepped all over it. Stuck my nose in a place it didn't belong. I ignorantly assumed something and passed judgment, Wrongly of course, Mom had it right, "if you can't say something good!!!!!!!!, keep your mouth shut and your thoughts to yourself". Please accept this public apology. I am truly sorry if I caused you any discomfort or stress. and thank you for setting me strait. again I'm sorry.

Thanks Chase, Ty & Macie, I appreciate your kind words.
Jerry, I have both a mother and a father and don't need any advice from you. I was at The Monkey unexpectedly with family members and had just received the money from my tenant as I was walking out of the house. The Monkey is a restaurant and that's why my son and I were there. I do not drink and if I did, it certainly wouldn't be with my 3 year old, especially driving home afterwards.

Jerry, last time I was at The Monkey food was served. To everyone, including kids. Purchasing alcoholic beverages is not mandatory. It is possible that Momma took her son there for a treat. However, her reason for being there is her business.
Glad you got your wallet back Momma. I've worn the same shoes you are in and it is a tough road to travel. Hang in there, things have a way of turning around for the better in life. I think the good guy watching over us is making sure you are taken care of.

Rarity is an understatement, I lost my cell phone downtown one Friday night. Before I could change/ cancel my account the next Monday, the low life ran up 23 hours of long distant calls. Thankfully it was over the weekend and cost me nothing, However, The principal of the message was I got your stuff, and you can do nothing about it. what audacity. Some people have no scruples.
Glad things turned out alright for you, However, I must chastise you for caring your worth, monthly, weekly,or daily to a bar knowing it was all you had to support your child and household. Shame on you!!!! that is all I'll say. The next time , take only what you're willing to spend. Cuto's to the individual that did this good deed.

Thank you for posting, and I'm glad things worked out the way they did. Like Chase Sewell said, it's good to hear there are still honest people out there that do the right thing. That seems to be a rarity in today's world.
