Sore Thumb?

I don't want to discourage new businesses from opening downtown, but I do have to question the design of the new Creekside Coffee & More. The faux log cabin with its green tin roof just does not fit well with the surrounding structures. It is located directly across from the Transportation building and adjacent to a beautifully restored home.

Stop beating this horse. There's no relevant discussions on this post at this point.

Right here in post 35 is where 'train' turned the topic to another person and made it about personal insults, which had nothing to do with the discussion at hand -
"Oh who am I talking to! You like to stand out like a sore thumb, too. Still have those McDonalds colors on your house?"

And then clarencelobell chimes in -
"Well, add me to the venom spreaders.
Now, go ahead and spread more of your own venom. I will choose to ignore it. You can make a fool of yourself all on your own. You don't need us for that."

All you've done is join in the hateful chorus, turning the discussion once more against someone who was trying to talk about the original topic and found that the haters just can't give it up. They have to turn like a mob on someone they've decided they can't stand.
It's a shame that those of you who've taken this tack have this illness in you. Why can't you just give it up and discuss the coffee shop and the topic that was posted?

"Now go on with your hate-fest. You and your friend denial. If I wouldn't know better I'd think you are the same person. Everybody not agreeing with your opinion is automatically just vicious, nasty, ignorant, and uneducated. You'd pick up the repugnant from denial, too, if you wouldn't be one yourself. "

More proof of my point. Here's another of the haters, and this one appears to be typing so fast to get their venom online that they can't construct complete sentences. Their technique is not to discuss the point but to hijack the topic so that they can indulge in their faceless attacks. All that posts like this do is to prove that I was correct in my comments.

"Why would complaining be fruitless? Not complaining would be stupid. The more people complain, the more likely it is they will be heard. It's a shame what has been done to this town. Why should we support to have this turned into an ugly place?"

What's really ugly in Frankfort is the vicious, nasty anonymous commentators like 'train' and her posse who make it a point to stick their noses into every story on the web site and are allowed to turn every issue into another hate-fest against people they've chosen to attack.

Does this person have P & Z tied up in a law suit, also?

According to the secretary of state website, there was a prior business by this name in Lancaster. I asked in post 32 if this was the same one.
