Election Law Violation

One would think an incumbent office holder would thoroughly know campaign laws, especially if they were a law enforcement officer

But with most incumbents they think they are above scrutiny. With the advent of citizen journalism and the Internet, those days are over.

Check out these photos from the Bonnycastle, Thornhill, and Commercial Drive neighborhoods.

Since this thread was started on the 23rd and his ad just appeared yesterday, I'd say no connection.
I like the ad, must give him that.

I'm hoping its a concerned citizen like me who is tired of politics as usual (reference the Nighbert/Lawson acquittal today)

Apparently Clark has acknowledged the transgression and asked for the signs to be taken down. See ESFish post below.

Maybe we are making a difference and can affect the upcoming elections for all the elected offices.

Thats pretty funny, at the top of this thread there is an ad for Pat Melton for Sheriff. What are the odds.

On Monday, Jan 25 Steve Clark posted this request on Facebook: "I understand that some of my campaign signs have already been displayed in some supporters yards. Signs are not to be displayed until 60 days before the election. If you have displayed these signs, please remove them. Thanks." So he is aware of the problem and trying to resolve it.

Sorry folks but the signs say "re-elect" on the top banner. Since this is his first time running for re-election, they are new.

Hey Wally Damron, Are you from Pike Co.? Pike County has a bunch of Damrons there.

Could be that Clark is using the same signs or same design. We can speculate. Doesn't change that it shouldn't have been out yet.

The sign looks familiar. Isn't it one from the last election cycle? If so, I think Clark has no culpability here; it's the homeowners who have to take responsibility for the signs.

I've had some candidates put signs in our yard, but I've put them up myself as well. I certainly don't think the person running is at fault because people kept old signs and put them up early.
