The first meeting of the Evergreen Road watch will be Saturday, February 27th @ 6 pm. I do not know if it will be Evergreen Church or the firehouse. I have permission from Chief Watts, but I am waiting to hear back from Evergreen Baptist Church

You do not have to be a resident to attend. Would like to get all folks interested to come regardless of where you live in the county.

Special guests will include someone from the Sheriff's Dept. and Derrick Napier, city police officer. May be more speakers, but we will try to keep it within an hour long.

We are here to address your concerns! Please come if possible.

Thanks

True, I am going to prepare flyers tomorrow. I had to wait on confirmation on where the meeting was going to be held.

It will be in the Evergreen BAsement folks. I am trying to get a sign made to put up by the church to let people know. I don't think Evergreen will have a problem with it. They are even going to set up a PA for us.

Things are going great. We now have over 50 people in the Facebook group! Still waiting to hear back from the church, but it is a go either way. Thanks to everyone that has stepped up to help.

One more thing, we are demanding more police visablility until the crime drops off. These criminals frequenting our neighborhood are about as freightened of the police as I am Barney the purple dinosaur.

Yes, it is hard. Lots of people are willing to complain, but then those same people won't come to a once-a-month meeting.

I am going to get static cling stickers for all the residents when I find a way to fundraise. I would like to make them free to whomever wants them. I'm on fire about this, I have spent countless hours on the phone with people. If I didnt have one single person show up, I think I would still press on. But I think I have some good people standing behin me. Thanks everyone that is willing to take a stand and say enough is enough.

I hope you can get the right people to want to help you. That has been one of the hardest parts .I believe you've got it going in the right direction.

I just want to stress that this is an informational meeting and is just the first in a long line. Even if you don't live in the area, if you are interested, please come.
