MCM hires new partnersFebruary 2, 2010
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Rebecca Brady Two veteran CPAs join Mountjoy Chilton Medley as partners An international tax specialist and a veteran auditor are joining as partners at Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP, Kentucky's largest accounting firm. Both appointments are effective Feb. 1. The two new partners are: Kevin Heyde, who has served as vice president and director of international tax research and planning for Brown-Forman since 1995, and Frank Farris, former managing partner of Louisville's KPMG office. "These two outstanding additions to our team give us an affirmation that the marketplace sees huge potential for us," said Mike Mountjoy, co-managing partner of Mountjoy Chilton Medley. Heyde will be responsible for expanding MCM's international tax practice; focusing on strategic global tax strategies. Farris will work primarily in client development. Before joining Brown-Forman, he was tax director for OSI Specialties Inc., Danbury, Conn. Previous positions include director of taxes for Grand Metropolitan Inc./Heublein Inc., senior tax manager for KMPG Peat Marwick, and tax director for Bundy Corporation. He is a member of St. Matthew's Baptist Church in Louisville and volunteers on various committees and mission work for the church. He is also a past board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Louisville and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Louisville. He has also served on the boards of the ABC (A Better Chance) Program and Wethersfield Congregational Church. He is a past member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs. Farris was managing partner of KPMG's Louisville office from 2004 to 2009. He also served as audit partner at the office from 1984 to 2009. His experience includes acquisition, disposition and carve-out audits, employee benefit plan audits and SEC filings. Farris has also worked on audits of Japanese-owned entities in the U.S., both start-up and existing entities, primarily in the automobile-related industry. Farris earned a BS in accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a past member of the State Board of Accountancy of Kentucky. He is also a member and past board member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and a past president of the Louisville Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. Farris is an elder and past board chair of Beargrass Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has also served on the boards of the Greater Louisville Fund for the Arts, Kentucky Council on Economic Education, Volunteers of America Louisville Chapter, Japan Society of Kentucky and Hospice of Louisville. ### Comments
