Why is there no communication from the Sheriff's Office? This is getting ridiculous. The Sheriff's Office should at least communicate something to the citizens of Franklin County.

I do understand you wanting information and wanting justice for your loved one. Sometimes it takes years. They are not going to release information as long as there is an ongoing investigation. This isn't to try and keep you in the dark, but to keep evidence from being put in jeopardy during a trial when someone is charged.
By all means keep her death in the eyes of the public, but just don't get discouraged by what to you is justice not moving fast enough.
Whether he caused her death or not, we do know he beat her prior to it and should be punished for that.
My heart goes out to you and all her family and my prayers are with you.

Thank you.
There has been no communication with the family. They call the sheriff's office and are told they are still waiting on results.
I agree with you whole-heartedly that justice needs to be served. She has three beautiful children and a 1 year old granddaughter Ms Winn and I share, they need the truth so they can go on with the grieving.

rhock22, please accept my condolences for you and your future daughter in laws great loss.
The constant mental strain about what happened to Ms Winn must be a huge mental strain on the family.
Are you saying the Sheriff hasn't had any communication with the family since December? I just want to verify what you wrote.
I've posted several inquiries online about this tragedy because what has been written just doesn't smell right. I don't want people to forget.
If the facts bear it out, someone needs to be brought to justice. This tragedy must not be forgotten.

The family wasn't informed about any of the information which appeared in the last article the SJ ran. The family knows as much as the public. They are not being told anything, Ms. Winn's daughter is my future daughter-in-law.

You know something, they don't have to tell us anything. They only have to inform next of kin. They are under no obligation to continue to keep the citizens informed. Especially if the reports would defame the victim. The family may not want the public informed on anything further. The State Journal isn't going to report any further information the family doesn't want printed.

I agree.....why havent we heard any more information about this woman's death....???? It is like it is being swept under the rug.
Seems she was battered and beat, and then died, and the man responsible is walking our streets! Sad, Frankfort, VERY SAD.

I think they have adequate time for all of the toxicalogy testing. Would really like to know what the hold up is this time.
