If there are any intrepid investigative reporters left in the Commonwealth, they would do well to pull the string on this little videotaping incident. Watergate began with an office break-in and led to Nixon's resignation and jail time for many of his operatives. Considering that the Republican Dirty Tricks machine under Karl Rove has been allowed to survive and thrive due to the politicization of the Department of Justice under Bush Jr, the smart money is betting on a connection between the incident in Grayson Senator Robin Webb's office and "reporter" James O'Keefe's foiled attempt to illegally wiretap Sen. Landrieu's (Dem. Louisiana) New Orleans office. Look for connections with Rove's Kentucky operatives. There's no such thing as an isolated incident with this GOP, and here's betting that any larger covert operation is being at least partially funded with our tax dollars.

"throw 'em all out." I'll 2nd that, but lets start locally, since there does seem to be a general consensus amoungst us SJ posters that status-quo is no longer acceptable.

I believe what the 'article' is referencing was 'this guy' who has been doing illegal 'investigative' reporting by acting like Charlie Sheen in WallStreet to get inside information so that the public can here/see what is really going on... and the article is trying to tie the episode in two together??? (New Orleans incident & Frankfort)

Not Julian Carroll. It was the secret taping of state legislator Robin Webb. I don't recall seeing this covered in the SJ but either the CJ or LH covered it. I read it somewhere. Now you know.

Somebody oughta look into the favoritism and discrimination in Franklin County government, where the Judge Executive gives a handful of hand-picked cronies 5% raises while the rest of county government employees get 2.5%
