4th Fireworks - Terrible

I don't know who thought to have the fireworks at Capitol View Park but they should be fired. Not only were the fireworks barely visible, parking was a nightmare and people - with children! - having to cross the E/W connector on foot was dangerously stupid.

I would like someone to explain why they were not held at Riverview park - a place with adequate parking, easy access from multiple directions, open views, places to sit and a safe environment for children.

Considering the fact that these fireworks didn't cost any of you a dime, I think maybe you shouldn't complain. These fireworks weren't put on by the city or the county, they were put on by a non-profit organization. Maybe the location isn't the best, but it is what it is. At least you get to enjoy your freedom and your independence. Some that fought for our country don't get to do that anymore.

Hit a Legends game on the 4th. The post-game fireworks are so-so, but you see so many other shows all around the stadium.

I loved the fireworks at Capital View! We got there early, got a good parking spot and enjoyed it thoroughly. We thought that the Capitol parking garage would be a good place to view them, also.

I agree with Cristy...
The Fireworks are a lot less visible from the vantage point of Capital View Park. And she does have a point with the multi-directional access to the Riverview Park ones.

But we can still enjoy our day and our freedom! :) I just go to a different fireworks show on the fourth. :)

I love the fireworks at Capital View Park, It would be better if you would have parked on top of the Capital parking garage. If your down at the park tho i agree that would suck.
