FPB and New Channels

Several weeks ago the FPB completed the all digital conversion of their cable line-up. At the time this was completed I was told by the folks at the Plant Board that we could expect to see between 30 - 50 new HD channels added within a week. When this did not happen, I called back and was told "no later than July 15th".

Today, frustrated as ever, I go to their website to see, front and center, an ad for the new C-Span in HD!
I cannot tell you how excited I am that we now get C-Span in HD. I thought they would never be able to top getting QVC in HD, but boy, they sure came up big this time!

I would like to know why we keep getting lied to by the Plant Board? We have been paying extra fees for these converter boxes for months, the new line-up has been posted on their site for months, and yet STILL no new HD channels.

I told them at the time that I would hold off on switching to Satellite because they assured me that changes would be made immediately on completion of the conversion. They have not. I think that the Plant Board has some 'splaining to do. Meanwhile, I will be calling Directv.

I just called the plant board to inform them that I am not getting the new HD channels evenhough I pay the top price for HD. The girl on the phone asked me which one that I am not getting? I really dont know what part of not getting the new ones she didnt understand. Oh well this is Frankfort. Again it seems we cant get the proper service from any of our services because they all have a monopoly on the service. EVEN THE STATE JOURNAL!!!!!!!!!

Stevens1, if everyone stopped paying their cable bills, they would make calls to have the money garnished from their paychecks and/or turn them over to the credit bureau which destroys peoples' credit. Try it and see.

I saw that they just added that yesterday - over a month afer they had promised to make the switch. Wonder what they would do if we all stopped paying our cable bills for a month? I doubt they'd be as patient with their customers.

If you've been to their website to see that C-Span is now in HD, they you should've also seen "FPB cable has planned a system upgrade for early Monday in order to add 39 high definition channels to the cable lineup."
