Concerning Congressman Charles Rangels alleged ethical lapses, the Congressional Black Caucus issued this warning to legislators with a large African-American constituency:
"The 42-member Congressional Black Caucus has warned Democrats against a rush to judgment, and any lawmaker with a significant African-American constituency must consider whether it's worth asking Rangel to quit."
Now we don't have a white congressional caucus but what if we did and they issued a warning like that? It would read like this:
"The 300-member Congressional White Caucus has warned Democrats against a rush to judgment, and any lawmaker with a significant White constituency must consider whether it's worth asking Smith to quit."
There would be protests, cries of racism, maybe even riots.
Comments like those made by the CBC are what fuels racism and it will never end with those remarks along with Rev. Jackson and Sharpton always stirring the pot, it never will

I enjoy saying that I am WHITE and proud of it. One thing that gets under my skin is that, the black person says we whites are racists or prejudice when something doesn't go their way with the white person and that we owe them something. The white person doesn't owe the black person A DAMN THING. We never did anything bad to them in the first place and they have no-one else to blame.

As you have noticed no one is writing to disagree. I take this as everyone silently agrees that the black race is getting away with a lot more than whites do. Maybe its time to have another march on Washington only this time make it clear that it is for the rights of white people????

Why do we need a black friend to not be racist. I am in agreement to the previous post. It amazes me how the NAACP, the negro college fund, the congressional black caucus can exist. Like the other post said THIS IS RACISM AND SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!One more thing were do they get the idea to call themselves African American. Are they not proud to be AMERICANS????????????????

Know where racism lives and continues to thrive in this country?
Miss Black America
Congressional Black Caucus
Black Entertainment TV (BET)
NAACP
Jesse Jackson
Al Sharpton
just to mention a few. I dont believe some blacks want racism to go away, too many depend on it and some even thrive on it. If racism actually went away what would they have to complain about, nothing? They would be at a loss.
Now don't start on me calling me a racist I know several black people and have some black friends, we have discussed this very problem among ourselves.
I do see things the way they really are and as long as blacks are given special priveledges and allowed to have Their own TVchannel and beauty contest (and so forth) there will be racism. This doesn't necessarily cover All blacks but a small percentage of very loud ones that can and do play the race card every chance they get..

In my opinion, it isn't the white people "keeping the black man down" but the agencies and and groups that LEGALLY keep the black and white races separated.
I think that if a person works hard and strives to make themselves the best they can, legally, that it doesn't matter whether they are black, white, purple or green! We, as a nation of several different races, need to accept people by their achievements, actions, manners and how they present themselves to family, friends and the public.
Color shouldn't matter in the area of what is right and wrong and what is legal and what is illegal. I thought Lady Justice was blind so that right would win the day, but evidently, I was wrong.
