Lillian Phillips Lillian (Goins) Penn Phillips, 90, passed away Wednesday March 12, 2008 at Westminster Terrace Health Care Center. She was a retired secretary for the Kentucky State Government, and a member of Southeast Christian church. She was also a former member of Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort, KY, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Nuttle (Ted); a sister, Carolyn Holder; two grandchildren, George Williamson and Carrie Robertson (Pat); and three great-grandchildren, Caroline Suzanne, Patton Robertson and Mia Nuttle. Her service was held Friday March 14, 2008 and followed with burial in Frankfort Cemetery. Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Southeast Christian Church Revelations Class Mission Fund. Dorothy Scottow Services for Dorothy M. Scottow, 82, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Rogers Funeral Home. She died early Monday at the Golden Living Health Care Center. Friends may call Rogers Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Emmett Smith Services for Emmett Lee Smith, 73, of Greenbriar Rd., will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2008, at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Ky. He died Friday, March 14, 2008, at his residence. Born June 24, 1934, he was a native of Franklin Co. and was a U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran. He was retired from Franklin County Home Health. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Vickey Lee Smith; two sons, Darrin Keith Hardin and Dwain Allen Hardin; grandchildren, Pamela Renee Smith, Brandon Scott Hilborn, Shawn Thomas, Benjerman Broughton, Justin Wayne Jennings, Cory Allen Hardin, Amber Wainscott, Amberley Hardin and Dillon Hardin; great grandchildren, Joshua Trenton Abbott and Gavin Lee Alexandor Harrod; sisters, Lu Hulette, Shirley Casey, Frances Edwards, Marie Cruger and Yvonne Taylor; and brothers, Victor Smith Sr. and Harold Smith. He was the son of the late William and Maudie Mae Cloyd Smith and was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Smith and his sister, Lucille Carrico. Rev. Everett Hawkins will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel. David Yokley Services for David Wayne Yokley, 47, of Letcher Ave., will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel, on Thursday, March 20 at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford Co. David died Saturday, March 15 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. Born November 11, 1960, David was a native of Jefferson County and was an Optician for Wal-Mart Vision Center, Frankfort. David is survived by his loving wife, Dianna Turner Yokley; four daughters, Sara Marie Yokley, Nicole Danielle Yokley and Megan Sue Yokley, all of Mt. Washington, and Laura Rogers, Frankfort; three brothers, Michael Allen Yokley, Shelbyville, Paul Yokley and Matthew Roger Yokley, both of Louisville; two sisters, Lisa Ann Sears, Jeffersonville, Ind., and Rebecca Ries, Louisville; his uncle, Oscar Gerald Yokley, Louisville; his cousin, Mark Yokley, Calif.; and six grandchildren. He was the son of the late Edgar Allen and Carolyn Sue Colvin Yokley and was preceded in death by his brother, James Murphy Yokley. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Barnes. Pallbearers will be Roger Yokley, Paul Yokley, Mike Yokley, Mark Yokley, Dave Stanley and Mike Greenwell. Honorary bearers will be the employees of Wal-Mart Vision Center and his cat, Bootie Boots.
