Services for Thelma “Cricket” Manley, 80, of Frankfort, will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. today. Mrs. Manley died Thursday following an illness of 4 1/2 months, during which time she was cared for by her two sons. She will be buried in the Jones Family Cemetery near Danville.
Born in Boyle Co. on September 23, 1931 to the late Howard and Flo McKnight Jones, she was retired from the Kentucky Governor’s office as a telecommunications operator.
Survivors include three daughters, Florene Surber, Mary Hockensmith and Willetta Bartley; two sons, Richard M. Manley and Bobby G. Manley; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Manley was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Bearers will be James R. Walker, Allen G. Walker, Dale S. Walker, Richard S. Manley, Bobby G. Manley and Chris Bartley.
Honorary bearers will be Tina Hockensmith, Keith Cook, Larry Jones and Donnie Jones.
Visitation was Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m.
