James A. Norton, 65, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at his home.
Services for Mr. Norton will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A native of Franklin County, Mr. Norton was born March 16, 1946, to George D. and Rachel E. Wright Norton. He served in the Kentucky Army National Guard, was a self-employed contractor and co-owner of Norton Builders and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by son, Ross A. (Angie) Norton, Lawrenceburg; daughters, Lisa M. (Greg) Collins, Clay City, KY, Carlena G. (Rogelino) Baltimore-Zuniga, Frankfort; fiancée, Sandra Boston, Versailles; brother, John P. Norton, Lawrenceburg; sister, Marjorie A. (Kenny) Chism, Frankfort; three grandchildren, Coe A. Norton, Frankfort and Gavin M. and Colevy A. Collins, Clay City, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Peach Norton and his parents.
Bearers will be Ross Norton, Coe Norton, Greg Collins, Andrew Stivers, Brian Riddle, Timmy Norton, Steadmon Norton, Larry Norton, Rogelino Zuniga and John Norton Jr. Honorary bearers will be Gavin and Colevy Collins and Kenny Chism.
