Vernon Jackson Jr.

Vernon Jackson Jr., 62, of Frankfort, KY passed away Sunday March 25th. 

He was born to the late Vernon Sr. and Polly Jackson of Frankfort, KY on July 29, 1949 in Harlan County Kentucky. He was formerly of West Carrollton, OH, and Indianapolis, IN.

Junior is survived by his three children: Ronald (Anna) Jackson of Mitchell, IN; Shannon (Ward) Williams of Clarkston, MI; and Chiara Jackson of Indianapolis, IN. His is also survived by his grandchildren Crystal (Ryan) Bentley, Nicole Nelson, Amberly Barnes, Daniel Jackson, Julia Barnes, Steven Barnes, Austin Arzapalo and three great-grandchildren with two more to be born this year. Because of him this family exists and will forever honor his memory.

Junior leaves behind four brothers and four sisters who will all miss him greatly, they are: Effie (Donald) Cunagin, Wes Jackson, Lester (Marie) Jackson, Ella Mae Combs, Bill (Connie) Jackson, Lee (Norma) Jackson, Brenda (Mark) Ohler and Janice Perkins. His brother-in-laws Sam Combs and Charlie Perkins preceded him in death. Left behind with wonderful memories of their “Uncle June” are dozens of nieces, nephews and their children. 

His long time companion, Sue Todd, was at his side when he passed away. Junior touched the lives of many and his memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved him.
