Christy Skelton

Mr. Christy “Junie” Skelton, 83, passed away Thursday. He was born in Bagdad on November 25, 1928, the son of the late Christy and Stella Skelton. Mr. Skelton was retired from Union Underwear and was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen McDonald Skelton, his daughters, Angela Wiley and Janet Mitchell, his son-in-laws, Jed Wiley and Carl Mitchell, all of Frankfort; his brother, Albert Brown, of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jason and Christie Mitchell; step granddaughter, Laura Wiley and step grandson Scott Mitchell.  

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Todd Lester and Rev. Bill Adcock. Burial will follow in the Frankfort cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Contributions are suggested to Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
