Funeral services for Barbara Floyd Taylor, 75, Bagdad, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Herbert Slaughter will officiate. Burial will follow at Bagdad Cemetery.
A native of Finchville, she was a 1954 graduate of Bagdad High School. She worked at Floyd’s restaurant, and was a sales clerk for Lincoln’s Dept. Store and The Country Lady in Shelbyville. She was a homemaker and member of Christiansburg Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of Howard and Ida Beatrice Raymond Floyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Greenwell, Frankfort; sons, Mike (Cathy) Taylor, Cropper, Hal (Valerie) Taylor, Frankfort; grandchildren, Shawn (Jenny) Taylor, Louisville, Justin (Keri) Taylor, Carmel, IN, Mackenzie, Lincoln, and Jackson Taylor, Frankfort; great grandchildren Kyle and Karter Taylor, IN; four brothers, Glenn (Judy), Richard ( Alicia), David and Leonard Floyd, Bagdad.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Taylor, sisters, Alma Garrett and Dolly Martin; brothers, Edward, J.T., Raymond, Roy, William, Clarence, Charles and Douglas Floyd.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren along with Carter Stivers, Lewis Young, Melvin Shirley and Tim Roberts.
