Etheleen “Leen” Quire, 92, formerly of Frankfort, passed away peacefully at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville, May 3, 2012.
Born October 3, 1919, in Frankfort, KY, she was the daughter of the late Estes and Ella Frances Chism Quire. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Frances Tracy, and her brothers, Louis Winfred Quire and Roy Quire.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Warren Tracy; sister-in-law, Edna A. Quire; nephew, Winfred “Windy” Quire; two great nephews, David C. Quire and Brian S. Quire, all of Frankfort; one great niece, Cynthia Quire Henry (Dr. Mark Henry), Somerset; three great-great nephews, Matthew and Nicholas Henry, Somerset and John C. Quire, Frankfort and one great-great niece, Sarah Henry, Somerset.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home in Frankfort. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Etheleen was a member of Antioch Church and Rev. Dan Luttrell will conduct the services. Burial will follow at the Antioch Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sam Brawner, Brian Quire, Johnny Luttrell, Duane Ellis, Dr. Mark Henry and Nicholas Henry. Honorary bearers will be David C. Quire, John C. Quire, Matthew Henry, Sarah Henry and Warren “Buzz” Tracy.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville for their help and loving care that was provided to Etheleen during her stay at such a wonderful place.
