Ann Burnette

Ann Newton Burnette, 68, widow of Billy Ray Burnette, died Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was born in Franklin County on November 6, 1943 to the late Lillard and Lucille Dalton Newton. She was a legal secretary for Pruitt Law Offices, a member of First Baptist Church and Pollyanna Sunday School Class. She is survived by her two daughters, Alicia Burnette (Todd) Brown, of Frankfort, and Margo Ann Burnette (Tana Barnett), of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, William Brown, Andrew Brown, Katherine Barnett, and Thomas Barnett; her brother, Don C. (Janice) Newton, of Frankfort; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Newton Gay.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 with funeral service following at 3 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road with Dr. Robert F. Browning, Rev. Earl Bell, and Rev. Truett Cocanougher officiating. Honorary casketbearers are Don C. Newton, Dwight Newton, Bill Carlisle, Morris Dalton, Jr., Ryan Burnette, Sean Burnette, Landon Spaulding, Todd Brown, and Andy Barnett.
