Esther Katherine Denney

Esther Katherine Christian Denney, 91, went home to Heaven on Saturday, May 19, 2012.  

Esther Katherine was born in Mt Vernon, Ky, March 15, 1921, to Millard Anglin and Lillie Shouse Anglin.  She was a caregiver all of her life, working as a CNA at Kings Daughters Hospital for several years and in her later years, was a private caregiver and a senior companion, spending many hours offering care and comfort and loving kindness to the terminally ill.  She enjoyed reading, cooking and sharing her soups and cakes with her friends and neighbors at King’s Daughters Apartments, where she resided since June 2010.  Visitors would usually find her reading her Bible or praying for her grandchildren.

She rarely missed an opportunity to share her faith and tell of God’s goodness to her.  Esther Katherine was a special lady, a wonderful Mom and Grandmother, devoted friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A resident of Frankfort, she was married to Quincy Bennett Christian for 57 years and is survived by daughters, Betty Fern, Carolyn Sue Brooks, Patricia Wilson, Sandra Kay Goodwin; sons, Harold  and Terry Christian;  20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.   Preceding Esther Katherine in death were her husband, Quincy Christian, son Rodney Quincy Christian and 2nd husband, William Denney.  

Friends may call at Rogers Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and funeral services will be held there at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
