Randall Derringer

Randall Curtis Derringer, “Randy,” 60, formerly of Frankfort, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 after fighting a long battle with lung cancer. Born in Frankfort on May 25, 1951, he is the son of Samuel Curtis Derringer, Sr. (Joanne) of Louisville and Jane Britton of Frankfort. He was a graduate of Butler High School and attended the University of Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, survivors include: brothers, Terry Wayne Derringer (Pat), Clarksville, IN and Samuel Curtis Derringer, Jr. (Sandi), Clearwater, FL; sisters, Patti Derringer Meade (GW) Shelbyville, KY and Susan Britton, Georgetown, KY; nieces, nephews and devoted friends, Larry Burdett and Debbie Stewart Nevarez. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and cherished aunts and uncles.

Randy shared a love for reading like his mother’s and enjoyed the challenge of a crossword puzzle like his dad. He lived a full, simple life, and was always doing for others. Family meant everything to him. A loving son and brother, a stranger to few and a friend to many, his kind, gentle and loving ways will be deeply missed by all.
