Alice Waits

Alice Myrna Bryan Waits, age 95, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Heritage Hall Care Center, Lawrenceburg.

Services for Mrs. Waits will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.

A native of Franklin County, she was born January 10, 1917, to William Francis and Irene Lawrence Bryan. Mrs. Waits was a retiree of Union Underwear, a member of the Homemakers Club and taught Sunday School for over 60 years. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and served as the Mission Chairman for the Women’s Missionary Union.

Mrs. Waits was the widow of Frank Hill Waits and was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Stewart Bryan and two sisters, Arla Rice and Delores Duvall.

She is survived by a brother, J.W. Bryan, RI; nieces, Elaine Breeck, Frankfort, Tara Bryan, RI; nephews, Scotty Bryan, Frankfort, Terry Duvall, Georgetown, Rodney Duvall, McKee, Michael Bryan, RI and Bruce Bryan, RI.

Bearers will be Dale Perry, Marty Perry, John Duvall, Scotty Bryan, Chad Bryan and Tommy Duvall.
