Marjorie R. Conway died early Saturday morning, June 16, 2012. She was born September 6, 1927, the daughter of the late E.E. Rodgers and Carrie Pulliam Rodgers. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Carl Conway, and her siblings Edna Earl Montfort, Lyman Rodgers, Wilena Cinnamond, Estelle Robertson, Edwin Rodgers, Phyllis Rodgers, Jean Schwing, Glynn Alvin Rodgers, Charlotte Byrdwell, and Carolyn Rodgers.
She is survived by her children and their loved ones, Carla and Tom Hedges of Bloomington, Indiana, David Conway and Beth Tomlinson Liebman, Frankfort, Susan and Mike Webster, Lawrenceburg, and Glenda Conway, Montevallo, Alabama; her grandchildren Christopher Hedges, Warren Hedges, Richard Conway, Angela Barber, April Conway Johnson, Carrie Webster Gabhart, Natalie Webster Holloman, Ryan Patrick Maguire, Carl Conway Maguire, and Rosemary Conway Maguire; and her great-grandchildren Matthew Hedges, John Hedges, Taylor Inman, Dillon Hedges, Emma Hedges, Caitlin Hockensmith, Austin Hockensmith, Jordan Barber, Justin Barber, Hannah Bryant, Daviss Ann Johnson, Austin Gabhart, Fiona Gabhart, Jillian Gabhart, Raegan Elizabeth Gabhart, Haley Holloman, Weston Holloman, Noah Maguire, Lucas Maguire, and Eli Maguire. She also leaves behind her sister, Lou Groh, of Naperville, Illinois, and her close friends Shirley Clark, Frankfort, and Carolyn Drake, Lawrenceburg.
Marge was a graduate of Bald Knob High School and was retired from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The family wishes to offer its deepest gratitude to the caregivers who treated our mother with love and care during her last weeks: Missy Cornn, Donna Blankenship, and Debbie Bryant.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in the form of contributions to Hospice of the Bluegrass or to the organization of your choice, as well as in the expression of love and appreciation to your family and friends.
