Eleanor L. Collins

Eleanor Louise “Weeze” Collins, 81 years, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her home.

Services for Miss Collins will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Hillcrest Baptist Church.  Rev. Tom Troth, assisted by Rev. Vernon Carpenter, will officiate.  Burial will follow in Frankfort Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church today from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A native of Frankfort, she was born January 30, 1931, to Taylor Thurston Collins and Pauline Housechild Collins.  She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, retired from Kentucky State Government and was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.  A beloved sister and aunt, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Ted L. Collins; a sister, Susan Caudle (Billy); a brother-in-law, Tommy Smith; nephew, Stephen Smith (Danetta); nieces, Paula Tallent (Scott), Amy Hilpp (Kenny); and great-nieces, Paulina Parvin Smith, Bailey Malika Smith, Emma Marie Hilpp and Grace Taylor Hilpp. 

Miss Collins was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elizabeth “Sissy” Smith.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Smith, Kenny Hilpp, Mike Collins, Robert Collins, Mel Trivette and Brad Trivette.  Deacons of Hillcrest Baptist Church will serve as honorary bearers.
