John R. Reid Jr.

John R. Reid Jr., age 98, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012, following a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn P. Reid; his parents, Betty and John R. Reid, Sr.; two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include a son, John R Reid III (Pendy); a daughter, Pat Murray; two grandchildren, Kevin Murray and Natalie Murray Scheiffele; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II veteran and was retired from the federal government.  

The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10 am with the service at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 643 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
