Services for Thelma Gossett, 93, are pending at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.

She died Monday at Taylor Manor Nursing Home in Versailles.

  • Riggs, Jane called today to let me know of your Mother's passing. We wanted to offer our condolences and let you know you are in our prayers. I am sorry we cannot come up, we are living in Louisville now, but Buddy has been in the hospital and is not able to travel at this time. One of my first real memories of your mother was when she was elected as the first female deacon at First Baptist. I was in my women's lib mode at the time and was so proud of her. She was a very special lady in so many ways and will be missed. Shirley and Buddy Justice
