Anna Tucker

Funeral services for Vera “Anna” Tucker, 78, of Bagdad, will be held Thursday 1:00 p.m. at LeComp te-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Bro’s Joe Brown and Andrew Messinger will officiate. Burial will follow in Bagdad Cemetery.

Mrs. Tucker died Sunday at her home after a lengthy illness. A native of Manteo, North Carolina, she was a lead worker at Roll Forming Corp. in Shelbyville. She was a member of Graefenburg Christian Church, Eastern Star Hiram Chapter #93. She was the daughter of Willie and Velma Midgette Brickhouse. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by daughter, Catherine Lynn Tucker.

Survivors include her husband, retired Kentucky State Police Major Robert E. Tucker, Bagdad; son, Willard “Tiger” Tucker, Bagdad; daughters, Marie (Greg) Duvall, Frankfort; Roberta (Bobby) Merideth, Frankfort; Tina (Troy) Ethington, Shelbyville; brother, Llewellen (Joy) Midgette, Wilmington, NC; sister, Dorita (Larry) Balance, Wanchese, NC; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers and honorary bearers will be grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchildren. They will be Don Gooch, Jr., Jeremy Hahn, Devon Rowland, Robbie Ivers, Bobby Merideth, Greg Duvall, Troy Ethington and Bo Rowland. Honorary bearers will be Raquita Rowland, Tamara Duvall, Sydney Tucker, Rebecca Rowland, Brandon Ethington, Bryson Ethington, Nicole Tucker, Haley Ethington, Robert Gooch, Owen Hahn and Samantha Hahn.
