Grace Fickie Young

Grace Fickie Young passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the age of 93. Preceded in death by her husband, William A. Young, she is remembered as a devoted wife, an amazing mother and granny to her family, a lifelong UK fan, a lady who loved her church, and a pretty fair golfer.

Visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 19 with a prayer service at 7:30.

Mrs. Young was fortunate to have a wonderful group of caregivers in Summer Shields, Brandy Shaw, Sheila Brewer, and Hospice of the Bluegrass. Her family is forever grateful to them.

Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Bill and Rosemary Young, Cynthia and Tom Braun, Will Braun and Alex Golden, Nell and Adam Czerok, Mia and TJ, Melissa Young and Michael Brock, Jason Hornback, Ireland and Mina, Jennifer Hornback, Caden and Jake, Susan Casper and Kevin Maguire, and Katie Shaw invite you to join them in celebrating her wonderfully full life with a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Monday, August 20 at 11 a.m.

Flowers are welcome, while the family appreciates donations in Mrs. Young’s memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass online or at 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, Ky 40601.
