E.M. “Earl” Wright, 80, died Monday morning at his home. His body has been cremated and the family will hold private services at a later date.
Born in El Dorado, Arkansas on September 3, 1931 to the late Lewis Sidney and Florine Flowers Wright, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Elinor Wright.
Mr. Wright was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was retired from his work as a professional geologist for the Kentucky Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of the Ky. Geological Society, the Association of Engineering Geologists, and the Highway Geology Symposium.
Mr. Wright is survived by two daughters, Sally Maxwell of Frankfort and Leigh Ann Brink (Rick) of Greenville, TN; a son, Brian Wright (Kim) of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Steven Maxwell (Elyn) of Lawrenceburg, Kristina Partin (Travis) of Atlanta, and Morgan Brink of Greenville, TN; and one great-grandchild, James Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Frankfort YMCA.
