Vera Juanita White Neidenbach passed away August 28, 2012. Born in Frankfort, KY, Vera was an educator, childhood education consultant, and a devoted wife of more than 50 years, mother, and grandmother.
She received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Brenau University and worked in various fields related to education. Her last position was with Westminster Christian School where she served as Headmaster.
Vera attended Gainesville First United Methodist Church. She was a member/leader of the COMET class and also led local Bible Study groups. Vera had an unwavering faith in God and practiced the true Christian teachings of love, compassion, and generosity.
Vera never met a stranger, and she will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Ken, and her sons, Tony (Stockholm, Sweden) and Peter (Spartanburg, SC) and their families. The family would like to thank the staff of NE Georgia Medical Center and the Oaks at Limestone and the caring physicians who served her so well.
Services will be held at Gainesville First United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 1 at 2:00 pm with visitation immediately following. Services in Tuscaloosa, AL will be September 2 at 2:00 pm at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Reverend Timothy B. Eads officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetery.
