Pauline (Polly) Hudson Howard, a longtime resident of Frankfort, died in her home on Sunday morning, the 16th of September, at 90 years of age.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh Hudson, Sr. and the late Pauline Hendrick Hudson. She is survived by four children: her son Noel Jones III and his wife Judy, daughter Jane Cammack and her husband Wayne, daughter Mary Howard, all of Frankfort, and son William Howard Jr. and his wife Denise of Dayton, Ohio; and was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Howard Sr. and by her daughter, Pauline Polsgrove. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Additionally, Polly is survived by her brother Hugh Hudson, Jr. and sister Georgie May, and her dear nieces and nephews to whom she was affectionately known as Aunt Polly. She was also preceded in death by her brother John Hudson and sister Jane Yancey.
Polly was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a source of strength and inspiration to her family, sharing wit and wisdom.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Hudson III, Philip Yancey, William May Jr., Paul Yancey, Daniel Yancey and Patrick Mahan.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home.
Friends may call at Rogers from 4-7 p.m. on Friday.
Flowers are welcomed, or donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass, First Presbyterian Church, or a charity of your choosing.
